JSDV2 Severity Level 1 and 2 (High Priority Outages) - Child Tickets
For High Priority outages, link all related tickets to the Master ticket (parent)
To create a linked Child Ticket from the Master Ticket:
In the Parent ticket:
- Select More
- Click Create linked issue in the drop-down menu
- For “This issue” select “is child of”
Caution: Make sure that the correct Project and Issue Type is in focus for the ticket: Project: IT Service Desk (ITSD) and Issue Type: Incident
- Choose the parent ticket issue
- Add a comment as needed
- Click “Create"
To link an existing ticket as a Child Ticket from the Master Ticket:
In the existing ticket:
- Select More
- Click Link in the drop-down menu
- For “This issue” select “is child of”
Caution: Make sure that the correct Project and Issue Type is in focus for the ticket: Project: IT Service Desk (ITSD) and Issue Type: Incident
- Choose the parent ticket issue
- Add a comment as needed
- Click “Link"
NOTE: Severity Level 1 and 2 CANNOT be CLOSED without a PIR: JSD2 Post-Incident Review (PIR) Process
