Email and Status Updates for BITS

Problem

The BITS website has the status for my initiative flagged red, but my team updated the status on 12/12/2019. Is there another reason for why it’s flagged red?

Solution

The emails are sent to the owner/leads of the initiative if either one of the below condition is not satisfied:

  1. The current status of the initiative needs to be updated. 
  2. All the "In progress" milestones for the initiative should have a due date or a revised due date in the future by the 15th of the current month. i.e. If an "In Progress" milestone has a past date. ex. Oct 2019 and the check is being made in Dec 2019 then an email is sent. So, the "In progress" milestones should be updated with a future or a revised due date. 

For this initiative, condition 2 was not satisfied. i.e. the "In progress" milestone - "Report out to Stakeholders" had a past date revised due date of 10/24/2019, hence an email was sent.
