2020-21 Q2 (Oct-Dec 2020) Report Highlights
General comments on writing:
- Don’t use first-person voice. No “We,” “I,” “us,” etc. Third person only for this professional report.
- Your audience is unfamiliar with ISD. Make sure you write it like you’re explaining to a stationary engineer on her first day. The highlights section should be wholly decipherable and clear.
- For all writing intended for an audience outside of IT, adhere to the Regional San and SASD Writing Style Guide

Highlights
- Released an update to the SASD Timesheet system designed to accommodate a new cost center which has charges going to both SASD and Regional San.
- Released the SDA Employee Search function, which allows staff members to lookup information about Staff working at SASD, SDA, SRWTP
- ElementsXS pilot project was rolled out; which is a web-based GIS-centric asset management application that tightly integrates with Maximo. The purpose of the ElementsXS pilot is to strive to develop a system, tools, and processes to enable Engineering Design Project Managers to better manage bundles of maintenance and repair work orders completed by plumbing contractors and to make the status and progress of the contractor's work more visible to the rest of the organization. (This involved the coordination of Mike Fish, Michelle McCostis, Sergio Perez, Tracey Ruff, GIS Team, Jeff Vail, Boulger Dan, Phani Kotla, and contractors from Novotrix)
- Elasticsearch Test environment was upgraded from 7.9.2 to 7.10.1( the upgrade was coordinated and completed on December 2020 by Akhil Agarwal and Sergio Perez)
- Provided ability to Public Affairs Office to Update Director Messages on Regional San SharePoint Intranet site. Before, they had to contact IT to update Director Messages.
- Migrated Q:\Tempfiles from end-of-life equipment to a new server with hardware support.
